Take Time To Love Yourself

Take time to love yourselfWe wake up every morning with a mind full of “to-do” lists, and our days start off in a crazy rush. Are you trying to compress all of your to-do’s in one day?

Stop, calm down and look within yourself! You are gorgeous, creative, smart, a shining star but you must feel it to realize it. Take a moment to do so.

Look outside – it’s another beautiful day!

LifeWhen we do things calmly and patiently, the universe will keep our back. It’s impossible to have control over everything in our lives. We need to trust and believe in the divine (call it what you like), work towards fulfilling our dreams and let things unfold as they may.

Take time for yourself and start your day by doing something special – a small morning ritual for your soul & body. Take time to love yourself.

Here is a special list of lovely treatments, which will pamper your body and jump-start your day:

Dry brushing

Dry brushingDry brushing is a wonderful way to keep your lymph system flowing. The lymph system is just beneath the skin and by dry brushing you will engage it improving circulation. The skin is our biggest organ and we have to take care of it very gently. Use a soft natural brush. Start by softly brushing your legs, hands, arms and belly. Always brush moving in the direction of your heart. You may add a drop or two of lavender oil on the brush to increase the effect and add a great burst of fragrance. Dry brushing feels like butterflies on your skin!

Breathing

breathe

A couple of years ago I attended a course called “The Art of Breathing” at Art of Living Foundation. I learned different breathing techniques, which have a relaxing effect on the body and mind. By repeating the exercises everyday you can reach the Impossible.

Here is something you can try tomorrow morning: sit back comfortably, close your eyes, and breathe very deeply. After a minute or more open your eyes slowly and shake your arms and hands for another three minutes or until you “throw out” all the stress and pressure. Then smile.

Oil pulling

Oil-pulling

It sounds very complicated but it’s actually an easy and simple morning routine.

How to oil pull? Put a tablespoon of organic cold-pressed vegetable oil (coconut oil tastes yummy) in your mouth and just swish it around for 5 to 20 minutes before spitting it out. Be careful not to swallow the oil because it collects all the toxins. After the oil pulling brush your teeth with a separate toothbrush and rinse your mouth thoroughly.

“The oil acts like a cleanser. When you put it in your mouth and work it around your teeth and gums it “pulls” out bacteria and other debri.” – Bruce Fife

Oil pulling is an ancient Ayurvedic remedy for oral health and detoxification with many benefits, including preventing bad breath, improving sleep and Even relieving migraine headaches.

Give it a try.

Lemon water

Lemon ice cubes

Squeeze fresh lemon or lime into your purified (warm) water every morning and you will have a miraculous effect on your body. If it’s too sour for you, feel free to add a spoon of raw honey. Lemons, limes, and white grapefruit detox the body. Though they are chemically acidic tests have shown that when they are metabolized in the body they actually have an alkaline effect. They contain an abundance of oxygen. Try having lemon & warm water in the morning for 5 days and you will experience the difference.

Juices & Smoothies

Juice preparation

Breakfast in a glass? Freshen up with a green, pink, orange, red juice or smoothie and see your eyes glowing. I know selecting fresh produce takes time, but you do it for yourself, for your own health and bliss. Juicing itself is faster than you think. It takes exactly 10 minutes to make the juice and wash up the juicer. Try out some of our tropical goodness.

Running, stretching
